Our home for the bees was pretty much finished today. Just some minor landscaping and weed pulling to make it complete. We have not worked on it since 2012. Today was the day plastic corrugated roofing was added to protect the hives from rain. Also, our carpenter Rich suggested I cut up my burn barrel for the trellis. Great idea!
I am so pleased with the progress and beauty. It really adds a unique flare to the newly restructured organic garden. I will be getting the nucs in May so now we can prepare the beds with bee loving herbs and perennials.
