8 chicks – 3 days old

We are blessed to welcome 8 chicks to the farm, hatched by 6 broody hens. We still have one broody hen sitting on eggs.

The chicks are doing well, and it’s a first for us to have hen mammas sharing responsibilities. One hen with 3 chicks had to be separated as she was not accepted back into the hen house (huge fight). Otherwise, everyone is integrated including our 5 mixed breed Bantams that were hatched in April, and our one month old Frizzle.
