Redwood Beam for Outdoor Kitchen

On Friday, March 10, a 6x8x16 foot redwood beam was custom milled and delivered by Dave Merchant of Out of the Woods Mill http://outofthewoodsmill.com/services/

I already had 2 beams milled about 5 years ago, and they have been sitting around.  Soon, the beams will go up to start the roof on the outdoor kitchen.  I originally wanted them this size because I was going to do a “green” roof.  We decided against it due to watering it and possible leakage over time.  We are now opting for a traditional roof. Stay tuned….
