Retaining Wall Work Progress

Today was another work day on the retaining wall.  Fortunately, my friend’s 13 year old son has been working on the farm, so I knew he could help.  I started moving gravel around 10:30am, and then at 12pm, H. was able to help.  We hauled gravel, shoveled the gravel into the back of the wall, and then cut the lumber.

Just a bit more gravel needs to be added behind the wall, then I will cover with the filter fabric and level the soil.

At 3pm when we were too tired to do anymore, H and I decided to have some fun and decorate the inside corral wall with an old rusty chain.  We came up with the idea to curve it into a spiral.  It turned out really awesome!
