On Saturday, April 4, 2020 La Selva Tree Service came over to do some work on the farm. One of the main priorities was cutting off an oak limb that would be hanging over the greenhouse. My friend Lisa advised getting it done before the greenhouse.
The next step was to weed eat and remove dead rosemary covered in periwinkle. I took measurements for the greenhouse which is 10′ 8″ wide and realized that the hillside had to be cut back to allow room for the building and 3′ walkways in the front and back.
Darren from Small Tractor Service came over on Thursday, May 7 with his cute little Kabota and transformed the hillside. He removed soil and added it to lower areas and leveled the space. He also cleaned a 4′ swath of our drainage ditch around the horse corral. It was done in 3 hours, such amazing difference!
With about 20 minutes to spare, I asked Darren to level the inner circle of our driveway where we plan to eventually build a gazebo and garden.
