Trail making

We are lucky to have the skill and expertise of trail-maker, Steve Liebenberg who spent the day yesterday making 4′ wide paths. The new loops extend throughout the hillside, around oaks, equal to 1/4 mile. The plan is to ride the horses and also take morning strolls. Eventually, we’ll add plants, apple trees, bench seats, and art displays. My inspiration is the trail at the Land of the Medicine Buddha in Soquel.

Steve made the trails, backfilled a retaining wall, and filled in/leveled the space for the new barn.

View out the backdoor of the horse stall. I am building a new barn door that will slide open to the pathway. We put in a 10′ drain tube rather than having to build a bridge over the drainage swale.
We’ll fill this area with gravel to minimize mud.
