Triangular Locust Bed

After digging out the old gopher wire last weekend for two beds, we could now reshape the planter bed and walkway space.

Two medium size locust limbs were perfect for this unusual space.

DSCN3325DSCN3327The walkway always has to be at least 3 feet wide to fit the wheel barrow.  Also, the pathway has to be dug out before adding the cardboard and chips, but that’ll happen later.  To finish this bed, we need more locust trees cut down, hardware wire added, and composted horse manure dumped in.

The 4 x 4 redwood posts in the corners are cut to 14″ to accommodate two rows of locust limbs which are about 6″ each.
