Catio

Thinking of our indoor cats, I knew we needed a Catio for sun and fresh air over Love Creek.  The cats must remain indoors due to our mountain predators. But, I still wanted them to have a space they could enjoy.

I was ready to redo a whole section of deck for them, but the size and scope grew to the point that it was unrealistic for that area.  Instead, I researched and found this perfect little window box that could be built onto the bathroom window.

Example

The house siding needed to be replaced due to rain rot, so I wanted to add in this extra project.

Siding removed.

Our friend and licensed contractor Ian was willing to do most of the build, but expected me to add trim and paint.

Wookie loves to catch the morning sun beams. (We added carpet).

The bathroom window stays open for them most of the time, except in winter.  Perfect way to bring the outdoors in for the cats.
